We're in this ride together!
Come together with riders from around the world by joining us for our first international virtual bike ride to celebrate World Lymphoma Awareness Day (September 15). Help us raise funds for the free programs delivered by the CLF to the cutaneous lymphoma community.
This ride can happen anywhere, at any time, at your own pace. Individuals and teams can participate at any location and cycle either the suggested 10 - 50 miles OR any distance you choose. Consider taking a ride in your community to a city landmark, on a stationary bike at home, at the gym, or at your place of employment. As long as you are cycling!
The purpose of this ride is to create an annual fundraising event using World Lymphoma Awareness Day as the catalyst. We want to engage you as a participant to be a fundraiser to raise $200 or more for the Foundation. We encourage you to share aspects of your journey using pictures, mementos, accomplishments, and personal stories about how cutaneous lymphoma has impacted you.
- The event runs from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 22, 2019. The distance of rides can be accumulated over the course of that time.
- There will be no checkpoint and no time limit. Remember, this is not a race.
- Riders can use cycling apps or cycling meters and send your results to Tasha Williams at email@example.com. Please include the name of the individual fundraiser or team in your message. Feel free to post your results and photos on your individual Facebook pages using the hashtags: #CLF, #CLFVirtualRide2019, or #CLFBikeRide2019
- Everyone who takes part in this event will receive a certificate of participation from the CLF as a small token of appreciation for your efforts.
Participating is as easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1: Choose your level of participation
Level 1 - I am going to ride and ask others to support me to reach a goal of $200.
Level 2 - I prefer not to be a fundraiser, but will donate.
Step 2: Invite your family and friends to support your participation in the event by sharing the link to your fundraiser page in an email or through social media.
Step 3: This event will use the honor system to acknowledge completion of your route. Miles cycled need to be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, Monday, September 23. Anything received after this date will not be acknowledged.
All money received from the cycling event will directly benefit the Foundation's life-changing services that are provided every day to everyone, free of charge.
