Joseph Eischens


Board member since 2012

Joe is a founding partner and managing member of the Thornberry, Eischens & Brown law firm in Kansas City, Missouri. Joe focuses his practice on employment discrimination and wage & hour cases with a particular emphasis in alternative dispute resolution. Joe is an established and formidable litigator with a 20-year track record of successfully representing individuals and families through difficult and emotional life-altering events. Joe is also a respected and sought-after trained mediator in employment-related disputes.

Joe is humbled and proud to have joined the Foundation’s Board of Directors. He currently serves on the Advocacy and Programs and Services Committees. Joe was diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma in 2003.

Joe is a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN and currently resides in Parkville, MO with his wife Patty Sullivan, son Nick, and daughter Kate.
