In collaboration with the Washington Cancer Institute
Saturday, April 9, 2011 - 8:15am - 3:00pm
On Saturday, April 9, 2011, the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation held a Patient Educational Forum in collaboration with the Washington Cancer Institute at the Washington Hospital Center, which welcomed approximately 70 attendees, many of whom were patients who enjoyed a day of education and the opportunity to connect with others who share in their journey living with cutaneous lymphoma.
This Forum was offered to help patients, caregivers and others affected by cutaneous lymphoma receive accurate information about cutaneous lymphoma, learn about current treatment options and promising future therapies, connect with other people who share similar experiences, and obtain information about resources and support available.
The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation extends its thanks and gratitude to all of the outstanding speakers who presented at this Forum, and we extend special thanks to Dr. Lynn McKinley-Grant for her service as Chair of this Forum.
We also thank the following people who generously volunteered their time and talent with us at our Forum:
Ms. Claudia Day, Patient and Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation Board Member
Ms. Megan Faulkner, Senior Account Executive, JFK Communications
Mr. John Kouten, President and CEO, JFK Communications
Ms. Margie Legowski, Patient and former Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation Board Member
In Forum evaluations we received, attendees noted the following:
“I enjoyed all the information. Very helpful. And, it was exciting to meet and talk with people with the same illness and concerns.”
“I most enjoyed meeting other people with this disease. The speakers were very good.”
“I enjoyed the personal story from David Lamb. It gave me hope! I also enjoyed the panel discussions.”
“I enjoyed feeling the support behind the fight against the disease and also learning about the updates and advances in treatments.”
“The event was informative and every minute of the time scheduled was utilized. Thanks!”
The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation thanks all of our attendees for joining us and making this event a great success. Together, we are making sure that each person with cutaneous lymphoma gets the best care possible.
