On September 13, 2014, the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation had an exciting opportunity to debut its first bilingual Patient Educational Forum in Montreal. Reaching patients from all over Canada and a few from the United States, the Foundation gave simultaneous presentations in both English and French and was able to serve patients and caregivers alike in their native languages.
Joined by physicians from Jewish General Hospital,
Université Laval, and McGill University, patients were enlightened by a spectacular set of experts covering topics focused on diagnosis and staging and treatment options of the disease. Highlights included a panel of nine physicians answering patients’ questions translated in both English and French. The panel gave everyone an opportunity to listen to a wide range of questions without language barriers. Patients from different countries were able to network with each other and gather valuable information about their disease.
