Other ways to give:
Planned Giving: A bequest, or gift through your will, is one of the simplest ways to make a lasting gift to the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation. It allows you to balance your philanthropic goals with concerns that you may have about future living expenses, future medical costs, and loved ones. You don’t have to be wealthy to make a bequest. No matter the amount, every gift is important. Click here for more information about planned giving.
Stock: Gifts of appreciated stock are a benefit to the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation and to the donor. The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation sells the stock immediately and receives the proceeds. The donor has the tax benefit of the donation and does not pay tax on the capital gain. Stock is readily transferred electronically from a donor’s account or our account or certificates can be accepted, but the process differs, so please contact us before initiating any transaction. The donor receives a letter for tax purposes.
Charitable Trusts and Foundations: More members are contributing through these entities. These gifts will be acknowledged by a letter from the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation and the trust provides the tax deduction verification to the donor.
Automatic Withdrawal: If you would like to arrange with us to have your donations withdrawn from your checking or savings account each month, contact us for details.
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 and How it Might Affect You: The Pension Protection Act of 2006 has provided a unique opportunity for individuals to donate to their favorite qualified charity from their Traditional or Roth IRA.
You may qualify to contribute funds from the IRA if:
• you are 70 ½ or older during 2006 or 2007
• the gift is made on or before December 31, 200
• the gifts do not total more than $100,000 per year
• funds must be transferred directly from the IRA to the qualified charity
We encourage you to consult with your tax advisor to determine if taking advantage of opportunities in this legislation is in your best interest. What a great way to see your desire to help these qualified charities come to life.
We appreciate the thoughtfulness of those families who designated that gifts be made to the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation in memory or in honor of a loved one. These generous contributions support the progress of our mission.
